While shopping for sunglasses, you will probably hear the word polarized thrown around a lot. In case you don’t know what polarized means, polarized light is a type of light that bounces off surfaces and creates glare. Polarized lenses are specifically designed to filter out that type of light so that you don’t have to deal with the glare while you are outdoors.

There are also specific lense colors that are used for specific weather conditions. For example, bronze and blue polarized glasses filter out the glare that comes off of water whereas red iridium and black iridium polarized lenses filter out the glare that comes off of asphalt.
